It is so wonderful to see that the art of crochet is currently seeing an upsurge in popularity because of the beautiful crocheted garments that are high fashion at the moment, and I’m sure there are lots of ladies who have added an up-to-the-minute garment to their wardrobe already. I am sure that for every person who knows how to crochet there are probably many who have no idea where to start. Perhaps you are one of these, or maybe you know a few basic stiches, but are really still a crochet beginner.
Maybe you have looked at lovely crocheted garments in the stores and thought how nice it would be to be able to do that kind of thing yourself. Or perhaps you’ve thought about how much less it would cost if you could make it yourself, or how proud you would feel wearing a garment that you had made for yourself. Well, I want you to know you CAN do it with a just little bit more teaching and some guidance.
So, if you have ever admired a lovely lace doyley, or longed to be able to crochet a beautiful shawl for a beloved baby, or looked at the wonderful patterns in a rug or throw and thought how nice it would be to be able to make something so colourful and cosy and useful, I am here to tell you that you, too, can join the ranks of the those accomplished people who made them. You don’t have to remain a crochet beginner; it’s time to move on up!
All you need is a bit of help to get you going, and the truth is there are many useful resources available to you. So many, in fact, that choosing which will best meet your needs can be quite a task. To help you along, I have pre-selected several excellent resources which will be useful at various stages of your learning.
The main thing that you will need is a fabulous book I have found which takes you right from the very beginning of crochet, teaching you the most basic stitches, and then leads you on to become a fully competent crocheter. It’s not hard, and you can get started right away. To access the book and all the free bonuses that come with it (you’ll love it!) you can click on this link, or on the advertisement on this page.
If there is something you particularly want and it’s not here, leave your request in the comments box and I will see if I can source it for you. If you don’t have any requests, I would still love to hear from you!
